Get a Good Loot Filter

It all starts with knowing what to pick up. You’re going to get showered with loot this League, and with the Ritual mechanic, there’s going to be a lot of different items to pick through. The strictest loot filters can easily help diversify what’s good and what’s junk, but many players don’t like the more strict options. These stricter filters are meant for racers and top-end players who already know what they want without question, and they only rarely stop to pick up anything else. Crafting

Crafting is something that needs a lot of experience. I am playing many different builds, and I never buy rare items out of poe trade because I love to create them myself. For example, after I spent 70 exalted orbs on a shield, I found it was only worth three exalted orbs on poe trade. On the other hand, in the Betrayal league, I had some lucky craft. I crafted a chest and sold it for 100 exalted orbs, but my investment in that chest is only less than one exalted orb.

Crafting is based on luck. You may invest a little bit but get a super big reward out of it just because you hit certain mods that are super rare on certain base items, or you may invest a lot but just never hit it. You could make a lot of Path of Exile currency by crafting, but you need to have a good amount of experience for it.

Juice Maps

Upgrading Maps, otherwise known as "juicing" by the community, is crucial to gaining net returns in Path of Exile's endgame system. Juicing Maps consists of using Cartographer's Chisels on them while they are normal/white rarity, using an Orb of Alchemy to add modifiers to the map, applying Sextants to Atlas Watchstones to grant extra packs of mobs, and using Sacrificial Fragments or Scarabs to further enhance Map item quantity and rarity.

Delirious Orbs are also great for adding tons of pack size to Maps, but players should note that Delirium makes Maps exponentially harder the more that are applied. Using these tactics, Maps will grant significantly more loot.

Maps

Farming maps and running them as efficiently as possible is hands down the easiest way to make currency in POE. The general idea is to increase Pack Size and Item Quantity on your maps to maximize loot drop potential. Here’s a basic strategy for doing that:

White Maps — Tiers 1–5 — Upgrade to Magic using Transmutations and Augmentations, avoiding any map modifiers that might kill you, like Reflect.

Yellow Maps — Tiers 6–10 — Upgrade to Rare using Alchemy and Chaos, avoiding any map modifiers that might kill you, like Reflect. For added Quantity and Pack Size, Vaal them, hoping for 8 modifiers.

Red Maps — Tiers 11–16 — Map Master encounters are also great sources of extra mechanics for loot. Alva and the Incursion mechanics are a strong contender next to Nico and Delving for best currency farming.

Flipping

If you have the experience, this may be the easiest way to make money. You will participate in Poe transactions and wait for people to sell items far below their actual prices. For example, the hunter's tailwind boots are worth having two noble spheres, but if someone who doesn't know their real value sells them at ten chaos, you can snipe and sell the boots price and make a profit. If you are interested in flipping, you need to understand the product, understand the game and what stats are good, do many searches, then make a Poe transaction, snipe the work, and sell it at the actual price.
